MY COMMITMENT
Supporting others to create a life they love. My “whole person” approach comes alive while considering all aspects of you when joining your journey in creating a life you look forward to each day.
For over 16 years I've worked in various settings with people with a range of mental health diagnoses and life experiences to build a better understanding of how to empower and support a person to create a life they love. Working in community mental health led to meeting people at their homes, in hospitals, at parks, and at school just to name a few. My dedication to meeting others where they are has strengthened my “whole person” approach in building a relationship that fosters trust, safety, unconditional positive regard, and accountability. It also led me to recognize that although people desire to feel happy, happiness looks different for us individually.
Areas of Focus
I have extensive training and experience working in the following areas: crisis intervention and prevention, forensic history, substance use and recovery, family systems, life milestones, domestic violence and how to break the cycle of violence, foster care system, trauma history, and LGBTQIA+ community.
My approach to best fit your needs comes with an individualized strategy. Incorporating my experience with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), and Positive Psychology allows me to develop a recipe for success while acknowledging that the relationship built between therapist and client is the foundation for progress.
Enough about me… Let’s learn about you. What would a life you love look like?
You deserve a life that you like, love, and look forward to each day.
